Requesting an announcement

KRNR would like to accommodate by making announcements about community events. Please note the following:

* KRNR is a local community radio station and not a “big company.” It’s truly a voluntary commitment to the communities we serve. It’s a one-person labor of love, not just another station with too many commercials.

* We need time to prepare your announcement. We request that you submit your announcement at least two weeks in advance, so that we can record, edit, and make your announcement available the listening public in time for the announcement to be effective.

* We prefer to provide your announcement to our listeners starting at least one week in advance, through the existing Community Calendar service, provided by the Goldthwaite Chamber of Commerce. This announcement occurs three times daily at 7:00am, 12:30pm, and 5:30pm and is recorded by individuals associated by the Chamber of Commerce.

* The programming is scheduled and loaded two days ahead of time. This is partly due to travel schedules and appointments, and it can also help us become alerted to problems sooner.
